AIAP’s August 2025 Hike

The AIAP August Hike will take place at Torrey Pines. Due to the summer weather, we try to choose cooler areas and start the hikes earlier. Also, since the AIAP Annual Picnic is on August 17th, this hike has been moved to Sunday, August 24th.

Meeting Time & Location:

7:00 AM at Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve Lot

We get together at 7:00 am and start the hike at 7:15 am sharp.

Hike Details:

The hike is approximately six miles of easy walk in Torrey Pines State Reserve and takes about two and a half hours. Please bring enough water and wear comfortable hiking shoes. We will start at the parking lot, up the mountain, hike the canyons then walk down to the beach and hike along the beach back to the parking lot. You may want to bring sandals for use along the beach. Bring lots of water as it might be a hot day.  Bring your favorite breakfast to share.

Important Reminders:

Parking at the park is $20, though there is a free parking area to the north off 101, marked as P and circled in red on the map below plus there is street parking on 101 south.
