The hike is approximately 6 miles with a tough but not extreme incline, and it should take around 4-5 hours. There is a picnic table at the peak, so we will hike up and have our picnic at the top, enjoying spectacular views of San Diego.
Place to Meet: Iron Mountain entrance. Time: We will meet at 7:15 AM at the park entrance parking lot and start promptly at 7:30 AM. Since we expect warmer days, it is best to start early and avoid the hottest part of the day. More information about the Iron Mountain trail here. Please bring a minimum of 2-liters of water, snacks, sharable breakfast and comfortable hiking shoes. Get ready for the May hike to Mount San Jacinto in Palm Springs.
