Volcan Mountain Trail is a 5.3-mile, lightly trafficked out-and-back trail near Julian, California, that features beautiful wildflowers and is rated as moderate. Volcan Mountain stands at 5,300 feet, offering great views of the Salton Sea and Anza-Borrego Desert to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west.
Place to Meet: In front of Macy’s department store North County Westfield Mall, Escondido, CA 92025 Time: We will meet at 8:00 AM and carpool at 8:30 AM sharp. Address of Volcan Mountain Parking: 1209 Farmer Road, Wynola Rd, Julian, CA 92036 Volcan Mountain Trail is approximately a one-hour drive from North County Mall. We will carpool from our meeting location. Be advised that there may be snow on the trail. Dress appropriately for the weather - wear boots, wool hats, and high-insulation jackets.
