January 2025 - Monthly Hike

The AIAP hike for this month will be Potato chip Trail in Poway 

This is a challenging trail of 7.3 mile round trip with rocky inclines and great views to the west and north.  Along the way we will see various vegetation and landscapes. Near the top is the thin rocky outcrop with a photogenic view. For more information about Potato chip trail please visit:  Potato Chip Rock

When: Sunday January 19 , 2025

Time: We meet at Lake Poway by the picnic area at 7:15am and start at 7:30am promptly.

Direction: Take I-15 to Rancho Bernardo Rd exit. Take Rancho Bernardo Rd east for about 3 miles. Go left on Lake Poway Rd.

Please note that non-Poway residents must pay a $10 parking fee to park at Lake Poway. So try to carpool or use outside parking.

Please bring enough water, and wear comfortable hiking boots. Bring breakfast to share and a personal cup for tea.  We will have breakfast at the end of the hike, in the picnic area.
