HIKE- August 25th,2024- Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve

AIAP August 2024 Hike

Date: August 25

AIAP August hike will be at Torrey Pines. Due to the summer weather we try to hike in cooler areas and start the hike earlier.  Also, since we have the AIAP annual picnic on August 18th, this hike is moved to Sunday August 25.

The hike is approximately six miles of easy walk in Torrey Pines State Reserve and takes about two and a half hours. Please bring enough water and wear comfortable hiking shoes.   We will start at the parking lot, up the mountain, hike the canyons then walk down to the beach and hike along the beach back to the parking lot.  You may want to bring sandals for use along the beach. Bring lots of water as it might be a hot day and bring breakfast to share.

Parking at the park is $20, though there is a free parking area to the north off 101, marked as P and circled in red on the map above plus street parking on 101 south.
