Hike: Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve

The location for February hike will be at Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve. The hike is approximately a 12 miles round trip, long but easy hike and takes about 5 hours. The hikers have the option to return from the “outfall” location which is three miles from starting location. We will meet the hikers in western parking lot of the Canyonside park at 7:45 am and will hit the trail at 8:00 am. Please bring enough drinking water and have comfortable hiking shoes. Direction: Take I15, Exit on Mercy Road, Go straight and turn right onto Black Mountain Road. At the 1st traffic light turn left to the parking lot. Please go straight to the last parking lot at the end of the park to see the hikers.
