I was born and raised in Shiraz. I came to the U.S. for higher education after graduating from Shahpour high school in Shiraz. I attended Cal Poly Pomona where I received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering in 1972. I came to San Diego in September of 1972 to attend graduate school. I received my M.S. degree from SDSU also in the field of Aerospace Engineering. I returned to Iran in 1976 and started to work for Iran Aircraft Industries, which was set up in Tehran by Northrop Corporation to support a vast variety of aircrafts in the Iranian Air Force. I was in Iran during the 1978-1979 Revolution and supported the war effort during the first four years of the eight-year war.

I returned to San Diego in December of 1984 with my wife and young daughter. My wife and I currently live in the Ranch Penasquito area and we have 2 daughters who are both away at college. I work for the Aero structures Division of Goodrich Corp (formerly Rohr, Inc.). I have a great interest in the affairs of Iran and Iranians. I would like to see our community prosperous, strong and active. I have been an active member of AIAP for many years and would like to become more active as a board member.
