I received my B.S. degree in Computer Science(1985) and Masters Degree(1987) in Applied Statistics from Utah State University (USU). I have over 15 years of experience working as a Computer Programmer, Software Engineer, and Senior Analyst for companies such BMDP, TRW, and SAIC in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Diego.

I have been an active member of AIAP since I joined four years ago upon my arrival to San Diego. It has been a great pleasure for me to be an active participant of AIAP's special events, such as AIAP's Norooz Celebration, Seizdeh-bedar, Chahar-Shanbah-Soori, and Annual Picnic. I had the opportunity to be the AIAP Webmaster from year 2000 to 2001 and was in charge of keeping information updated about AIAP online. Also, I have contributed and volunteered for other leading Iranian organizations such as PCC, NIPOC, ISSD, Omid Foundation, and etc.

I am the founder of Chekhabar.com, the Internet web site company. Since, its founding in 2000, Chekhabar.com has been able to promote Iranian culture in Southern California and Nevada. Detailed information of cultural, education, and athletic events are provided within the web site. This great experience has given me the opportunity to hear and connect with Iranians not only in California but also around the world. Seeing my fellow Iranians utilize Chekhabar's resources and information is a great fulfillment to the hard work behind it. My GOALS as an AIAP board member include:

* Providing help, support and an extra hand to current board members.
* Promoting AIAP activities among the Iranian community in San Diego and to interest them in becoming an AIAP member and participant.
* Creating a closer relationship with other non-profit organization in Southern California.
* Organizing more events/activities to increase AIAP revenue in order to buy better equipment for monthly meetings and Support Fundraisers & Charities.
* Improving AIAP monthly meetings to a higher class and level.
